Since posting my initial blog workout wise I have been successful. I worked out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday!!! These were no skimpy workouts either. I hit the jump
HARD! Everyday consisted of 45 minutes of cardio either on the bike, elliptical, or treadmill (high incline). Then weights (chest, legs, and abs or back, shoulders, arms, and abs rotation) which felt great by the way. My biggest enemy is not wanting to go. Once I am there I can knock it out! Today is the beginning of a new week (Sunday) and I have already started out with a really good workout bright and early this morning. Problem is last week was a moderately busy week. I am a graduate student, full time nurse, wife and mother. School includes doing 10 hour shifts at a clinic THEN studying. Last week I got a break on being at the clinic which made it easier to work out five days. This week I have all five days full of 10-12 hours shifts! I know it's do-able I just need to "do it" so this week tells the tale on if I am hardcore serious like I use to be. It will require me waking up at 4:55 am and working out for an hour (weights and cardio) before going to the clinic x two days then doing 45 mins of cardio x 3 days before my 12 hour work shifts. I do this in the morning because studying is for evenings. I know I can do it I just need to remain focused! Day one is already down so I am already off to a great start! I know I have said them but here are my goals for the week of March 11th.
- EAT HEALTHY! THIS INCLUDES PACKING MY LUNCH EVERYDAY (AND ACTUALLY EATING IT) AND IGNORING THAT SAUSAGE THAT IS IN THE FRIDGE.
- WORKOUT FOR THE REMAINING 6 DAYS THIS WEEK. ONE REST DAY IS OKAY BUT IF I PLAN FOR IT IT MIGHT EXTEND :)
- HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WORKING OUT BUT IT HAS TO DO WITH MY SANITY THUS AFFECTING MY WORKOUT...STAY ON TOP OF SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS!
There you have it. I'll check back next week. I don't want to make this all about the numbers on the scale but I'll let you know if there has been any changes once I get going. Wishing everyone else a successful week as well. Get it done!!!
